Commonly asked questions about ordering our wines.

 

Do we do home deliveries?
Absolutely!  We ship our wines throughout Ontario using a third-party delivery company.  With every order that gets placed, we ask for quotes from numerous companies to find the most cost efficient method of delivery that fits your needs.  If you live within the Niagara Region, we can deliver your wines to you directly.  Please note, that all orders need to be signed for by someone over the age of 19 years old.  Therefore, most people find it convenient to ship to their place of work since someone is usually available to sign for the delivery.  If no one is available to sign for the delivery, another attempt will be made after which the wine will be returned to the winery.

 

What is the cost of delivery?
The cost of delivery is determined by where you live, whether it be a rural area or an urban area as well as how far away from Niagara on the Lake you would like the wines shipped.  As a general rule of thumb, Eastern Ontario is approximately $21.00 (plus HST) per case while the GTA is approximately $18.00 (plus HST) per case.  We can always provide you with a quote for delivery.  Just email us at info@cattailcreek.ca with your mailing address (including your postal code).  PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ORDERS OF 12 BOTTLES RECEIVE COMPLIMENTARY SHIPPING THROUGHOUT ONTARIO.

 

What is required for order wine for delivery?
All wines and delivery charges need to be prepaid with a credit card prior to shipping.  Your receipt will be included in the case along with your wines (unless you provide us with different instructions for example when the wine is a gift for someone else; then we can send the receipt to you and the wines to a different address).  We will also need your name, full mailing address as well as your phone number (in case the delivery company needs to contact you to make arrangements for delivery) and any special instructions that you may have for delivery details.    Some company’s provide tracking details.  If this is something you would like, please provide us with your email address as well.

 

How long will it take to receive the wines?
From the time that the wines have been paid for, we usually allow 5 to 7 business days for delivery.

 

Is there a minimum order for delivery?
There is no minimum order.  However, many delivery companies determine prices based in the number of boxes, regardless of the number of bottles within those boxes.  It is no uncommon for the cost of delivery to be the same for 1 bottle or 12 bottles.  Therefore, it is always more cost effective to order wines by the case (12 bottles).

 

Can I order mixed cases?
Yes!  Most everyone does.  What you order is entirely up to you.  Mix and match a selection of your favorite wines or order as many bottles of one type as you like.  Every delivery comes with wine profile sheets telling you more about each of the wines that you ordered.
